Confessions of a Chocoholic Afternoon Tea, Hilton London, Park Lane

During my recent trip to London my friend and I went for afternoon tea at the Hilton on Park Lane, I had won this wonderful experience earlier in the year, so this visit to London was the perfect time to use it. When we arrived at the hotel once we were seated a very friendly man began explaining all of the options on the menu and checking to see if there were any dietary requirements. They then brought us an assortment of teas to look at and smell which excited us both greatly. I went for a Hilton Royal English tea and my friend opted for the Dragon Pearl Jasmine tea. After we had chosen our tea’s, it all started to get very exciting, we were presented with the most beautiful open finger sandwiches. They were absolutely delicious and quite large compared to other finger sandwiches. The sandwich selection included prawn cocktail, ham and… View Post

My trip to Hamleys

During my recent trip to London we went into Hamleys, well all I can say is I am glad I went in there without E. I can imagine her wanting to touch and play with anything. Instead I just looked and played with everything! What an amazing toy shop, it really does seem to have everything, from a section with sparkly tutus and all things princess, to Nerf guns and all the wonderful things in-between. However the one section that really stood out to me was the Lego department. When I was a little girl I used to love Lego, my brother and I would play with it for hours, it has to be said I look forward to when E is old enough to play with it. There was such a variety of Lego, the Lego friends made for girls, star trek Lego, Harry potter Lego, far too many… View Post

My weekend in London – Child free!

It is very rare that I get me time, what with my husband working away frequently and that we don’t live near any family. I am with E twenty four seven and at times it really can be hard. Because of our circumstances I very rarely get to do something I really want to do. This last weekend I went to London for the weekend to visit a friend, we joke how it is my annual trip and my annual weekend off, but it really is! I love being a mummy to E, however everyone needs a break and some me time at some point? On the Friday I caught the train from Exeter to London Waterloo, a very long three and a half hour journey – the trains to Waterloo are cheaper due to the time they take. This didn’t bother me as it was the start of relaxing time. With… View Post

Jokers Masquerade Fancy Dress Review

E absolutely love dressing up, which child doesn’t? She has a box full of dressing up outfits and accessories which she uses all the time. Jokers Masquerade Fancy Dress is a wonderful website that sells costumes for just about any occasion that you could possibly imagine. The website is very well laid out, there are lots of different categories which makes it easier to find the sort of costume you are looking for. When we were offered a costume from the childrens fancy dress section, I obviously didn’t hesitate to say yes. The costume we were sent is the Disney High school Musical Gabriella Costume age 3-4 years. Obviously Emily knows nothing about High School Musical, but this didn’t bother her when the outfit turned up. The outfit was well packaged when delivered and the delivery time was fantastic. As soon as the costume turned up E wanted to open it. The outfit includes… View Post
