Happy New Year

Happy New Year 2015! One of my tasks before this year ends is to thank each and every one of you who has been part of my journey. Some of you are very new and others of you have been around since this blog started. Thank you for your support, your help, your understanding, your knowledge. Thanks to those who comment, those who like comments and those of you who just read.. Thanks.. Sometimes opening up your private life is a hard thing, especially still keeping our life somewhat private, some times I giggle at some of the things I write as I am sometimes like a completely different person. This blog has given me an outlet for all I have to say and I am thankful for those that take the time to read and comment. I hope you will continue to follow our journey in 2015. My gift back… View Post

Our christmas Day 2014

I have always loved Christmas, I put it down to how great my Christmases were as a child. Since E has come along, it has become even more magical. I didn’t get chance to take too many photos on Christmas Day and those I did are either snappy ones or from my phone, the day whizzed by. E now understands that father Christmas brings her present’s if she has been a good girl and she knows that he lives in the north pole, so when it came to Christmas eve she was very excited about leaving a mince-pie, carrot and a drink out for Father Christmas and his reindeer. Sail with Santa – with Stuart lines Cruises in Exmouth

One of the many fun things we did before Christmas was go on a Sail with Santa Cruise. Stuart lines cruises in Exmouth operate various boat trips all year round and during December they run there Sail with Santa cruises. Hour long cruises around the bay which are full of fun for children and very enjoyable for the adults. We first took E on the sail with santa cruise in December 2013 and as she really enjoyed herself  we decided to go again this year. We arranged to go with some friends of ours and their daughter – E’s best friend. Tickets for the Sail with Santa cruise cost £8 per person and it is worth every penny, especially when I see how much E enjoys herself. As soon as you board the boat we were greeted with lots of festive cheer, staff dressed up as Elves or wearing fantastic Christmas jumpers, the… View Post

Merry Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a great time whoever you were with and however you were celebrating. December has been a bit crazy here and now it seems like a bit of a blur. We have been busy with children’s Christmas parties, a wedding, adult Christmas social events, sickness a nativity and a sail with Santa cruise. All the Christmas shopping had to squeeze in around it all. It is only now after Boxing day that I sit down, look back It all and breathe. The only visual reminder of it all is the pile of toys under the window in our Lounge waiting to find a home in our choc a block house. Despite being so busy I can safely say that we have all had a good time and the icing on the cake was seeing E’s face on Christmas Day.  I know it’s all a bit of a cliché… View Post
