Our trip to Lulworth Cove

Over the Easter period we went to Dorset for a week in a Caravan, we didn’t get the best weather, we only had rain once, but we made the most of it and had a great time. On a sunny yet blustery day we ventured to Lulworth Cove, I had seen so many photos of the place and also on television that I wanted to go and take a look. The Cove was formed by the combined forces of the sea and a river swollen by melting ice at the end of the last Ice Age, it has created a beautiful landform that is very popular with tourists. We managed to get a few photos but none of them are amazing, E decided today was the day for not wanting her photo taken and to look grumpy if the camera turned her way. It amazes me how she knows a camera… View Post

Fun on the beach – Photo Friday

Earlier in the week whilst the sun was shining and E had no preschool we ventured to the beach for the afternoon, armed with a blanket, picnic and sun cream we were ready for a couple of hours of fun on the beach. We are very lucky to live so close to the beach, however it is very easy to take it for granted and not go down there as often as we can. I think you will agree we have had an amazing couple of weeks of sunshine, especially for April.. lets hope we get some more sunshine soon! I took a few photos when we were down there, mostly of E playing in the sand but I thought I would share them with you. Hope you all have a lovely Friday! First thing in the morning, E was very excited about heading to the beach that day. Sandcastle building… View Post

Going to the beach Without Kids vs With Kids

Having been to the beach yesterday when I came across this cartoon strip it made me laugh, some of these rang true yesterday.  Going to the beach with a three year old is not as relaxing as it is when you used to get to go on your own. It was fun though!

Fun in the sun – Photo Friday

Its been such a long time since I have done a Photo Friday so this week I thought I would share with you some of the photos from our day in the Garden on Wednesday. The sun was shining and E wanted her bouncy castle out which was fine as it was a great opportunity to test it out and make sure it’s still working for when her friends come round to play for her birthday – that’s if the sun shines. So the day in the sunshine involved lots of bouncing, playing on the slide and having lots of fun. I had to occasionally blackmail E into coming inside to cool down a little as it was so hot, I was also melting! Here are a few photos of E having some fun in the sun – on her bouncy castle! Time to bounce Endless energy to bounce Time for… View Post

Change is not always a good thing.

I rarely talk about my husband on the blog, M is my husband of nearly ten years – that time has flown by even though at times it has felt like an eternity! M is in the Royal Marines – I am sure he will probably curse me for telling you all as he tends to keep himself to himself, hence why I don’t tend to mention him on the blog. His job means that he is away quiet a lot, not always on deployments but also on various training courses. I have one statement to make, the Royal Marines and Family do not go well together. Last year after several years of commuting over an hour daily due to be being based in Plymouth we got the good news that he was finally going to be based at the local camp, only ten minuets away from home. This was… View Post
