Autumn Crafts With Baker Ross

Autumn is a beautiful time of year, full of lots of lovely different colours and tones all which are great for arts and crafts. The only downside to Autumn is my eyes is that it starts to get a little nippy – I like warmth and sunshine. We recently received a parcel from Baker Ross full of wonderful Autumn themed crafts and as expected E couldn’t wait to get started. She cannot read yet but she recognises the Baker Ross tape that is on the parcel and gets very excited to see what is inside. We started off with a lovely Hedgehog craft, which consisted of a Hedgehog ceramic tea light holder and in the box was some lovely ceramic paints to use. E has no idea what a tea light holder is, which is kind of good as I am not in a hurry to introduce her to candles,… View Post

Bump Watch 35 Weeks

Thirty Five Weeks pregnant and we are on the home stretch, which means only 35 more days give or take until the little wriggler joins us, writing it as only 35 days makes me realise how soon our little family of three is going to become a little hectic family of four. The average baby at this stage is around 18 inches long and weighs around 5 1/4 pounds – averaging the size of a Honeydew Melon. Now that the baby has run out of room it isn’t doing somersaults anymore but it still very active. The kidneys are fully developed now and the baby’s liver can process some waste products. The baby’s main development over the coming weeks is weight gain, it is said that it now looks like a lovely newborn baby just not as heavy. They currently have close to 15% fat on their body, but this… View Post

Being an end of May baby she is going to be one of the youngest in the year, hopefully this wont hold her back in any way. E was so excited about starting big school, the night before I was aware that she woke several times during the night and I think it was due to excitement, being woken when she woke both of us were full of yawns on Wednesday morning, we had both got used to lazy mornings during the school holidays. E was so excited about getting ready for school I didn’t have any problems with telling her to get dressed, she decided… View Post

Bump Watch 34 Weeks

34 Weeks pregnant and entering week 35 eeek – not long now. I am a mixture of emotions of excitement and wondering what an earth am I doing starting with another baby and all the sleepless nights, I am certainly doubting my sanity but I know it will all be worth it. By week 34 the average baby can weigh up to 5 pounds and is almost 20 inches long – similar to the size of a cantaloupe. The baby is getting fatter and rounder getting ready for being born, their skin is also increasingly smooth and rounded due to this weight gain. The baby is capable of sleeping with its eyes closed and keeping them open when awake. Organs are fully mature, except the lungs. These may not be fully mature until week 36. The baby’s immune system is developing ready for the arrival into the world. At the end of… View Post
