New Year’s Resolutions

With the end of 2016 coming to a close, I can’t help but look back smile, and be thankful for a very blessed year. During 2016 I have watched my children grow in different ways, E started year one and has astounded me by everything she has learnt and J has reached so many amazing mile stones during the year, Sitting up, Crawling, Walking, Eating solid’s  and causing chaos where ever he goes. As M works away I feel very much like I have been a single mum at times, we only see M two days a week and sometimes less. This has been tough on all of us., the kids have missed M, I have missed having some support and M has missed the kids. So I look back on 2016 and I am proud of myself for coping, I have lived on disturbed sleep for the last year… View Post

Stick to Stigu 2017 Planner Review

Once upon a time I was an organised person, several years fast forward, a husband and two children later and I am more disorganised than ever before. I have tried various ways of being organised, diaries that I have given up on, calendars that I forget to write on let alone turn the pages, a planner app on my phone – which sort of worked until my phone had problems and I lost everything, writing notes on sticky notes and using various notebooks.  All in the attempt of planning my life, the kids and of course my blog. Recently I have been sent a Stick to Stigu 2017 planner that I have instantly fallen in love with, Stigu is a little character that appears throughout  the planner often giving little tips to help you get through the week. this planner is exactly what I need to keep me and my life more organised. In the Stick to Stigu… View Post

Hiding Christmas Presents

Christmastime is upon us, many of us are still busy with either shopping for gifts, wrapping present’s or sorting out the Christmas food. We are a mixture of all of those things in our house. I have shopped, I have wrapped – not everything and my husband has yet to do some shopping. As Christmas is getting closer we have seen various family members, exchanged gifts and posted to those to far away to see. This is all very lovely and everyone have been very generous especially for the two little one’s in the house and I know it is a cliché but I really look forward to seeing the children’s faces on Christmas day. The problem we now face as I am sure many parents are the same is where to hide all these Christmas presents? As E and J are still young no questions have been asked regarding piled… View Post

Visiting Father Christmas at Wyevale Garden Centre Sidmouth

I love Christmas and the magic that comes with it, as I was growing up my parents made such an effort with the decorations and Christmas day was always amazing. The decorations are up in the Mum, That’s me household and it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A couple of weekends ago we had our first visit to see Father Christmas at the Wyevale Garden Centre in Sidmouth ,we didn’t tell E we were going until we got there, she was so excited – this year the level of excitement has gone up a level. As soon as we walked into the Garden centre the Grotto was straight ahead, we had to wait a little while due to the change over in Santa’s Elf. The area leading up to the grotto was a little bit festive looking but not as much as I would have thought it would be. E enjoyed… View Post
