Scalextric Touring Car Battle Set Review

Scalextric has been and still is a popular gift with children and adults alike! There is something about a Scalextric that appeals to everyone. I never owned a Scalextric set when I was younger, I think my brother did but I don’t recall playing with it. When I was offered the opportunity to review one, I was a little bit excited. The big kid inside. I also knew that my husband and my eldest would have so much fun with it. The simplicity of Scalextric is part of its enduring appeal. The general concept is electrically powered scale-model cars race around a slotted track. The cars are operated by a simple hand-controller. The track slots together easily which is handy when you have an impatient child who cant wait to play. The Scalextric we were sent is the Scalextric Touring Car Battle Set. It is very cool. The box contains a 15V transformer, a lap counter,… View Post

Giggle Wiggle Game Review

Giggle Wiggle is a fun game that twist’s, turns, jiggles about and plays a samba type tune. Giggle Wiggle is a super fun game that will appeal to all ages. The aim of the game is to place all of your coloured balls onto Giggle Wiggles hands to win. Its sounds easy but it’s not when it decides to twist, turn and sends your balls flying. The game comes with a Giggle Wiggle caterpillar, base, 28 coloured balls, sticker sheet and instructions. It requires three AA batteries. The game requires assembly that literally takes seconds. It is easy to disassemble, making it easy to store back into the box when the game isn’t in use. Before you play the game you need to put all the coloured balls onto the trays. There are seven balls of each colour, but only six are needed. Extra balls are always handy in case any go… View Post

My Best Friend Igglepiggle Review

We have recently been sent the very cute and adorable My Best Friend Igglepiggle to review. As soon as I took it out of the box I just knew that J would love it as its cuddly and makes a noise! Igglepiggle is a character from in the Night Garden, we haven’t actually watched the program, but that night I made sure we did, out of curiosity and J seemed to like it. Igglepiggle is activated by pressing its right hand and it either makes a jingle sound like he does on the program or stories and lullabies will be played. There are a total of 3 different stories and 4 lullabies, there are also other friendly things that are said when the hand is pressed such as ‘someone isn’t sleeping’. Igglepiggle has moving eyes that open and shut, this proved to be a great success with J, he spent quite a lot of… View Post

BigJigs Fire & Rescue train set review

We were very excited when the Bigjigs Fire & Rescue train set turned up for us to review. E couldn’t wait to get it out of the box to play with it. The train set includes enough track to make a decent sized figure of eight with a ramp going up and down through the fire station. The set also includes some great little extra’s to add to the fun of the set and gave E lots of scope for using her imagination whilst playing. The detail of the Fire & Rescue train set is great, one of mine and E’s favourite parts of the set is the cat that sits in the tree, she loves using one of the fireman figures included to rescue the cat. The poor cat is constantly stuck up in that tree and needs rescuing. This really is a fun addition to the set. The fire station… View Post
