Fathers Day is on June 21st and is not that far away at all. In my honest opinion both my own father and E’s Daddy get harder to buy for every year, they always end up getting the same sort of gifts, chocolate, dvd, alcohol.
When Snapfish gave me the opportunity to try out their service and review some Fathers day products I was thrilled, as I think giving something a little more personal is a nice idea and something I hadn’t thought of doing for Fathers Day before.
I had a good look around their website and they really do have so much to offer, not only the usual photo prints or canvas but they also have wonderful photo books, mugs, keyrings, notebooks, photo panels, jigsaws and so much more.
As E’s daddy is now working away every week and only home at weekends for two years – every time I say that I get a little sinking feeling in my stomach, I figured a few personalised gifts would be great for him to take away with him.
The first item I opted for was a personalised Photo Mug, I liked this idea as I know my husband loves a cup of tea and he will be able to have a nice reminder of home every time he has a nice hot brew! There are various types of mugs to choose from but I decided to make an 11oz Collage mug, that way there are lots of little photos of his family to look at.
I am really pleased with this mug and I think it’s a great choice for a personalised Fathers Day Gift. The 11oz collage mugs start from just £7.99. There is also an option to have the mug coloured inside and you can add a caption to the mug too.
I then decided to make a Photo Book, as it’s not just mums that like to show off their little angels and I figured it would be nice for Martin to have a selection of photos in a book that he can look at and if he ever wants to he can show it to people.
The photo book process really is simple, you upload all the photos you wish to use and then you can start creating your masterpiece. You can edit photos during the process, adjusting the exposure or adding little effects. There are absolutely loads of themes, backgrounds and little embellishments you can add to each page. There is also a choice of sizes and covers.
I opted for a classic 11″ by 8″ photo book which has a die cut cover which displays the first page photo through a little window which I think makes it also great to keep out on display.
I had a lot of fun making the book, once I had taken an hour or more choosing photos! The different theme page means that your book can almost tell a story or be relevant to your photos. As a whole I am really impressed with the photo book and here are a few pages from inside.
The photos certainly don’t do the book justice, it really is wonderful. The paper quality is great and all the photos are so clear. This sort of Photobook costs £29.99 to make for 20 pages. I hope my husband loves it as much as me and E do.
Whilst I was on the site I also decided to make a personalised Fathers Day card, it’s always hard to find a card that is appropriate. This is the card I finally chose, there really are so many to choose from and this one only costs £2.99 and it really is lovely.
Snapfish have impressed me with the quality of their products and I would totally recommend them, so if you are looking for something a little bit more personal this father day, step away from the sock isle in the shop and log onto Snapfish and create some great personalised gifts. The last order date for Fathers Day is the 15th June.
Disclosure:- We were sent a voucher code to try the snapfish service and their father’s day gifts, all words and opinions are my own.
