Hiding Christmas Presents

Christmastime is upon us, many of us are still busy with either shopping for gifts, wrapping present’s or sorting out the Christmas food. We are a mixture of all of those things in our house. I have shopped, I have wrapped – not everything and my husband has yet to do some shopping. As Christmas is getting closer we have seen various family members, exchanged gifts and posted to those to far away to see. This is all very lovely and everyone have been very generous especially for the two little one’s in the house and I know it is a cliché but I really look forward to seeing the children’s faces on Christmas day. The problem we now face as I am sure many parents are the same is where to hide all these Christmas presents? As E and J are still young no questions have been asked regarding piled… View Post

Visiting Father Christmas at Wyevale Garden Centre Sidmouth

I love Christmas and the magic that comes with it, as I was growing up my parents made such an effort with the decorations and Christmas day was always amazing. The decorations are up in the Mum, That’s me household and it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A couple of weekends ago we had our first visit to see Father Christmas at the Wyevale Garden Centre in Sidmouth ,we didn’t tell E we were going until we got there, she was so excited – this year the level of excitement has gone up a level. As soon as we walked into the Garden centre the Grotto was straight ahead, we had to wait a little while due to the change over in Santa’s Elf. The area leading up to the grotto was a little bit festive looking but not as much as I would have thought it would be. E enjoyed… View Post

The Christmas season is upon us and everywhere you look there are wonderful things to see. I love everything about the Christmas, the decorations, the presents, family time and most importantly I love Christmas food at home and in restaurants. Recently I was invited to the Pizza Express in Exeter to try the Christmas menu, I love pizza and I was very curious to see how you could have a Pizza based Christmas menu.  I took a friend along so we could get in the festive spirit together, munch our way through yummy food and have a good natter. Pizza Express have a great varied menu and their Christmas menu looked very exciting and I was looking forward to trying it For starter i chose Manzo Crocchette which contains pulled beef and chianti crocchette served with rocket and a horseradish and crème fraiche dipping sauce. When it turned up it looked great and it… View Post

What am I looking forward to in December

Wow, where has the year gone? I cannot believe it is the first of December tomorrow. November has been and gone and with very little excitement so I am looking forward to December and hoping it will be magical. December is typically a busy month what with finishing of Christmas shopping, various school events, all things Christmas and not forgetting the arrival of Buddy The Elf. Last year we introduced Buddy and E loves him, we are not completely strict on the no touching of him as she is only little. She liked a little cuddle every now on then but she would also say I can’t touch him for long as his magic will stop working. E has asked if we will get an Elf again this year, I have told her that I don’t know as there are a lot of children in the world so we might not… View Post

Blossoming Gifts Christmas Flowers Review & Giveaway

I love receiving flowers, who doesn’t? They brighten up a room and just make me feel happy. When it comes to sending flowers finding a decent florist who doesn’t charge crazy prices and delivers lovely flowers isn’t easy.  Recently I have been sent a stunning Christmas Cheer bouquet from Blossoming Gifts, they really are beautiful. Blossoming Gifts have a great range of gifts, hampers and flowers for Christmas, they even have a selection of gifts you can personalise all of which make lovely presents. The flowers I received arrived in a tall, sturdy cardboard box and were packed in well with cardboard and packaging; so there’s no concerns there about becoming damaged when being transported. They are wrapped in cellophane with a handy little card showing you how to prep the flowers to be popped into the vase, and how to prolong their life span. The flowers also came wrapped… View Post
