Buying gifts for toddler’s can always be tricky. They are in the in between stage. Some toys are too babyish and some of the 3+ toys are not always suitable. There are so many  great gifts available, it’s just finding them. Hopefully this guide will give you some great ideas.     1. Wow Toys Ernie Fire Engine Ernie is a decent size fire engine. It is very chunky and sturdy, perfect for little hands. It comes with one fire fighter figure and one safety barrier accessory. There are plenty of great features for little ones to explore. Advent Calendar’s For Children

We are hurtling towards the most magical time of the year, Christmas. It’s only a few weeks away now until the countdown to Christmas begins and the advent season is well upon us. Some form of the Advent Calendar has been used for more than 150 years and becomes increasingly popular every year. From a traditional calendar to calendars that feature popular collectibles and themes, there is an advent calendar for everyone. As a little girl I used to love opening a door on my chocolate advent calendar to see what Christmas shape chocolate was hiding behind it, this little treat was a great way to countdown to Christmas and before I knew it I was opening the last door – which was always the largest chocolate which meant it was Christmas Eve and If I had been a good girl Father Christmas would be coming to our house that night. Advent Calendar Fun – Day Three

Another day of advent calendar fun, this morning the usual excitement occurred, the love of chocolate drew E straight to the chocolate advent calendar first. She eagerly found number three and with my help opened the door to find a yummy father Christmas chocolate. It didn’t take her long to devour it! No sooner had the chocolate gone she was asking if she could open her toy calendar, E really does love the advent calendar ritual. E went straight to door number 3, she remembered from yesterday where it was. Behind todays door was a North Pole sign, this was great as it gave me chance to explain to E that this is where Father Christmas lives and it’s where all the toys are made! She thought this was brilliant and all day keeps telling me that’s where he lives. I aim to try to make Christmas magical! Another great day… View Post

Advent Calendar Fun – Day Two!

Day two of the advent calendars brings as much excitement as it did yesterday. I went in to wake E this morning to get her ready for school she didn’t want to get up, we have been blessed as she loves her sleep. However once I had mentioned it was day two she ran down the stairs very excited. She first went for the Wow Toys advent calendar. She said I think it will be a reindeer today mummy, I was really hoping it would be. As luck would have it, she opened the door and staring at her was a reindeer. E was one happy and very excited little girl. The reindeer is excellent quality just as Father Christmas is, easy to handle and fun to interact with. So far I am very impressed with this calendar. After E had played with them and let them share her breakfast, she put them were… View Post

The Excitement of Advent Calendars

The 1st of December started with a lot of excitement this morning. E and I were lying in bed chatting when she asked if she could use the iPad, so she ran downstairs to get it and moments later she ran up saying ‘Mummy, come and look there are presents downstairs’. We had put her advent calendars on the settee last night ready for her to discover in the morning. E would normally only get a chocolate advent calendar but this year she has been lucky enough to have received a Wow Toys calendar. The look on her face was sheer excitement,  she first went to the chocolate calendar as she thought the box was a new toy, I explained to her how she can only have one chocolate a day which she was fine with, she hunted down number one and opened and munched very quickly a Father Christmas shaped chocolate.… View Post
