With Valentines day fast approaching everyone is looking for that extra special gift, something personal, something a little bit different. Instead of the usual flowers or box of chocolates which most people give for valentine’s day, why not give your valentine some personalised chocolate?
I recently stumbled across Yucoco, a handmade chocolate creations company which allows you to create your own chocolate bars online in minuets. You decide the flavour, the toppings and you also get to write your own personal message. Yucoco chocolate bar’s are the ultimate personalised gift idea for Valentines day.
The website is really easy to use, firstly you get to choose which chocolate bar you want to personalise, there is a choice from Divine Dark, Marvellous Milk, Wicked White & Terrific Trio. I opted for Marvellous Milk.
Once you have chosen your bar you are taken onto another screen which has a selection of tabs which lists different toppings. You can choose five toppings per chocolate bar,
Once you have designed your chocolate bar you get to personalise the name of the bar, I called mine The I Love You Bar. The gift box the chocolate comes in is like a book and on the inside your can personalise it with who it is to and from. They then list the ingredients of the wonderful personalised chocolate. My chocolate bar is Marvellous Milk topped with Mini Marshmallows, White Chocolate Jazzies, Tutti Fruiti Fudge, Confetti Hearts and a chocolate I Love Yu! For an extra £1.75 you can also add a handwritten gift card if you want to write a message.
Once the chocolate bar turned up it was time for the taste test, I know I made the bar for Martin but the chocolate looks so yummy that he is having to share it. The chocolate is really creamy and melts in your mouth. The toppings really make the chocolate special, they are fun and tasty and make the bar unique. You certainly wouldn’t get something this yummy in your local supermarket.
The final price of my customised bar came to £7.20, £4 being the bar of chocolate and the toppings which range from 40p to 80p each. I wouldn’t place orders each week but for birthdays and other gift giving occasions I would most definitely place future orders, with such an array of options and fast delivery – my bar arrived under 48 hours, Yucoco personalised chocolate makes the perfect gift.
The only negative point about my order is that my chocolate bar turned up slightly broken. The chocolate came in a cardboard box that fits inside the letterbox. I think with how rough royal mail can be and the distance from my letterbox to the floor some extra padding might have prevented this.
Yucoco amazing chocolate bars are handmade and there are over 1 billion combinations to choose from – how amazing is that? Just go to their website and follow the instructions and make your own chocolate bar, trust me you wont be disappointed.
