A little adventure with Barny!

What I really love about E is that everything is an adventure, a simple walk down the street or a trip to the park is a little adventure to her. So many things to see and explore, things that we all take for granted.

Today was a nice sunny day so we decided to go out on a little adventure to the park. We are lucky that the park near us has quite a lot of areas to explore. E loved to go and play on the swings but then she wanted to go off and explore.

There is a little bridge by the park that has a spring going under it, E absolutely loves playing Pooh sticks. She loves to go looking for twigs or anything else she can find to throw over one side of the bridge and she then rushes to the other side to see if what she had thrown in has come under the bridge. Today the stream was quite slow due to no rain and lots of sunshine, this didn’t seem to bother her except she did keep telling the rocks off in the stream for stopping her twigs from floating by.

The park area has lots of space for E to run around in and as the area is safe I let her, she has so much energy that I have to walk very fast to keep up with her.

Today we took with us Barny Bear cake bars. They are cakes made in the shape of a bear and inside you find different fillings-there’s chocolate, milk, strawberry and apple.  Each 30g bar is individually wrapped, and the perfect size for picnics.

Barny Bear Cake BarsWe were kindly sent a box of strawberry and a box of chocolate Barny Bears to taste and take out on an adventure from Mumsnet. We took a strawberry and a chocolate Barny bear with us on our adventure so we could both have a little taste of this cute bear.

Barny BearE was delighted when we opened them to see the little bear. Then was the taste test… E had the chocolate one and I had the strawberry one.

Eating a Barny Cake Bar

E enjoyed munching on her Barny cake as did I, we had a taste of each others and the Strawberry Barny bear was the one that we both enjoyed the most. Emily said she liked the gooey bit in the middle. The bars tasted moist and were a really nice snack that I think most little children would really enjoy. Barny will be coming on more adventures with us soon.

Thank you to Mumsnet and to Barny too for making our adventure a tasty one!

Disclaimer – We were sent these bars to try out but all opinions and words are our own.

  1. Isn’t it lovely when you don’t have to go far to find your adventure; for little ones a trip to the park with a picnic is as much as an adventure as a daytrip 60 miles away! It’s a lovely post #mumsnetBarney
