The school holidays are flying by super fast. It is now at that point where i am thinking about sorting out all the back to school clothes and things they need. Is it me or is school prep way more exciting for children these days?
When i was younger it was a trip to Clarks, uniform shopping and some standard stationary from Woolworths. Fast forward 30 years and it is way more exciting. My eldest looks forward to sorting out all her new school stuff. New shoes, clothes and most importantly school bag and a few other amazing things.
My eldest is a huge Smiggle fan and always asks for Smiggle items, as usual with school items i insist on functional and well made items. I have found that Smiggle ticks those boxes and makes for one very happy girl.
This year we have been sent a few Smiggle back to school items much to my children’s delight. We are now back to school ready.
Explore Attachable Backpack
This backpack is lovely. The colours are vibrant and my eldest absolutely loves the butterfly design. This wonderful bag has four zipped compartments. There are two drink bottle sleeves – this is really handy as so many drinks bottles we have had over the years end up leaking in a bag. There is even a 15inch lap-top compartment which i think is brilliant. It is almost the perfect bag for me! Inside there is a handy internal name label.
The bag also has little clips on the side – these are specially designed for the matching lunch box (available separately) to clip onto, meaning that you don’t need extra hands to carry a packed lunch into school. The bag is very durable, the straps adjust and there is a padded carry handle. Overall this is a great backpack and it comes in different designs for both girls and boys.
Explore Drink Bottle
A water bottle is a back to school essential. We have had various drink bottles over the years and one thing my daughter really likes is a nice looking one. This lovely Explore water bottle is a decent size bottle with a flip top spout. The best part is it co-ordinates with the backpack. Its a lovely drink bottle and my daughter is thrilled with it. She can’t wait to use it when she goes back to school.
Skip Teeny Tiny Lunchbox
This wonderful lunchbox is part of the new Skip Teeny Tiny Range which is aimed at 3-4 year olds. Perfect for nursery and preschool. My son was thrilled when this turned up. There is a main compartment with a double zip and an external velcro pocket at the front. The lunchbox is smaller than standard ones but is definitely big enough for my son’s packed lunch. The strap is quite thick and is adjustable. There is also a handle so you can also carry the lunch box that way.
There are a selection of coordinating items for this range and different designs for both boys and girls. I know as soon as i go into Smiggle next my three year old will be eyeing up the other items. It looks like i have another smigglet on my hands.
Colour Change Lead Pencils
Once you have a new backpack and water bottle you children definitely need some nice items to go with it. This pack of five colour change lead pencils are perfect. Each pencil changes colour when you hold it to write. The pencil’s change to a lighter colour through heat activation. These are great fun and nice and colourful and practical.
Explore Combo Ruler Stationary
I love this Explore ruler set. You get a 30cm ruler, two pencils, one eraser and one sharpener and it all fits together. A fantastic stationary set. What is pretty cool is that they come in different designs that coordinate with the back packs, pencil cases, lunch boxes. A variety of designs are available.
There are so many fab Smiggle Back to School items on their website and in store. Your children are going to love all that is on offer and if you give in you will definitely get some brownie points. I am very impressed with Smiggles quality and i have two very excited children who are now back to school ready.
