Moving house is rarely a simple process, there are so many things to do. From packing your belongings to letting your utility providers know. The numerous tasks can become quite stressful.
When we last moved house it was no easy process, having a one year in tow added to the stress. It is amazing the amount of stuff we had to pack. Looking back though that was the easy thing. We had to let utility providers know about changes of address, inform banks, mobile providers and we had to set up a temporary postal redirect.
When moving house i knew we had to sort a new broadband provider. Because i work part time from home and we have other devices, the internet had to be fast, reliable and reach all areas of the house. Not asking much really.
For us having amazing broadband is important as i do use the internet an awful lot. I don’t want to have internet that takes hours to publish a blog post. Fast internet is needed to make uploading and editing photos a quick process, especially at the same time as the internet being used elsewhere in the house.
Broadband varies across the county, it is possible when you move you wont be able to get the same coverage or speed that you had in your previous house. We found that this was the the case with our previous provider.
I found finding another broadband supplier was so confusing. If you are in the same situation that i was, i recommend using a broadband comparison website.
Many broadband providers offer packages with phone lines and free calls included. There are 14 different broadband providers in the UK so it can get pretty confusing. Cable UK is a great comparison website, it has so many different functions and tip’s. I really like the postcode checker so you can check availability at your new address. I checked our address and it says their are 64 different deals.
