My “Hotter Moment” With Hotter Shoes – Review

Recently I was invited to attend a blogger event with hotter shoes in Exeter, obviously I said yes after all, who could resist an evening of shoes, boots lots of chatting and some food thrown in for good measure.

if I am completely honest, before I attended the event I thought Hotter shoes were more suited to the older generation, with its shoes being practical and comfortable, well how I was wrong!

I was welcomed by Mel the lovely PR lady and treated to some refreshments as we chatted about the brand, this was my first blogger event I had been invited too so it was great to meet some other South West bloggers.

We were given the opportunity to browse the shoes and try some on, I was pleasantly surprised about the wonderful choice in store, it blew away my stereotype perception that hotter shoes are aimed at the older generation. They have shoes that are marketed towards younger people and that are bang on trend with current fashions, all the fashionable colours and styles.

The Donna heels are very stylish and coordinate with the current AW14 colours that you can buy in stores.

When it come’s to shoe shopping I am really picky, mainly because my feet have high arches, most of the shoes I try on don’t fit very well or rub my feet so I was hoping Hotter shoes would find something that would fit me well and look nice.

When it came to looking and trying on shoes I was instantly drawn to the boots section, it’s getting very cold now and it is definitely the warm cosy boot time of year, however as I am so petite and narrow most boots look ridiculous, long boots tend to look more like welly’s than the stylish boot they are supposed to be and some of the other fashionable boots don’t seem to have very good support. I was looking for something stylish, warm and comfortable. Comfort being very important when it comes to running around after E.

The first boot I liked and tried on are the Carmen Boots in Brown –  I failed to take a photo of these in store as I was too excited and amazed how wonderful these boots are. When I put them on I had my ‘hotter moment’, I have never in my life put on such comfortable boots, it was just like putting slippers on. I could quite easily see them keeping my feet warm whilst running around after E. They give great support and are nice and cosy, but that is not all they are GORE-TEX® boots. GORE-TEX® technology offers complete waterproof protection, perfect for those wet and cold days. The boots are priced at £120.00 which I think is a bargain for them.

Another pair of boots I fell in love with are the Wiltshire boots, in the stone colour. These boots were also very comfy and looked very smart with my jeans on.  These retail at £79 and are now on my hotter shoes wish list.

Once we had looked at the shoes and boots on offer and tried some on Mel gave us an interesting presentation about the brand. Hotter Shoes have been making shoes and boots in the UK for over 50 years. They started making slippers, but now they make shoes that they feel as comfortable as wearing slippers. They came up with what they call The “Comfort Concept” its thanks to breathable leathers and linings, flexible soles, and air bubbles inside the shoes which actually cushion the feet.

All of this explains why my new Carmen boots are so comfortable and why I feel like I am wearing slippers. I chose to take these boots home and after wearing them for a couple of weeks I can safely say they are the best boots I have ever owned. They are warm, comfortable and they have kept my feet dry and there has been a lot of rain. I give these boots a ten out of ten.

Hotter Shoes Boots

Hotter shoes are hot! Not only are there boots the most comfortable boots I have ever worn but there styles are as fashionable as other high street shoe retailers and are better made.

If you’re looking for some new shoes or boots take a look at Hotter Shoes, you wont be disappointed.

Disclosure – I was given the boots to review after attending a hotter shoes event, all words and opinions are my own.
