Photo Friday – Garden Fun

What a whirlwind week it has been, a week ago today we had the twenty week scan and since then all the pregnancy announcements have been made. E turned four last Saturday, I have just been sorting through the mammoth amounts of photos that have been taken over that weekend so that I can get round to blogging about her special day.

Four! I cannot believe I am now a mummy to a stubborn, active, chatterbox four-year old – where has that time gone.. Anyway, seeing as her fourth birthday blog post is taking longer than anticipated – well the photo sorting is, I thought I would share with you some photos from our sunny afternoon in the garden on Wednesday.

One of the present’s E received for her birthday is a my first swingball set, also comes with a basketball attachment and swing football, I chose it thinking it would encourage E to play on her own and it works but I also get to have a little play when I want too. We decided to set it up properly for the first time on Wednesday and as you can see she had lots of fun. I think the basketball attachment is her favourite.

Basketball fun

E had a lot of fun attempting and sometimes getting the ball in the net

Time for a little rest  before she was ready to try the ‘swing football’ attachment.

Resting

The swing football it just like swingball but with a football at a lower level, kept E running around and laughing which is always a good sign.

Swing football

E was quite happy playing swing football whilst I sneakily tried to take photos, every time she saw the camera out she would look the other way.

Swing football

I think it is safe to say that the football part of the swingball will get a lot of use, it kept her busy and running around for a long time.

Football SwingballWhen E finally decided she needed a rest she pulled up a chair to her sand and water table and started playing with that for a while.

Sand and Water table

I quite often comment how E gets bored easily and can be very needy and always asking me to play, yet when she is out in the garden she will quite happily play whilst I sit near by watching and relaxing.

Such concentration whilst building sand castles in her sand and water table

ConcentratingAll in all its safe to say E had a great afternoon playing in the sunshine.

Bubble GunI just hope that this ‘predicted’ heatwave happens as looking after a very active four-year old is so much easier when the sun shines.

  1. What a lovely little lady you have there! Sounds like you got her a great gift! Funny how littles can get off to playing by themselves, doing things we wouldn’t necessarily think are appealing to them. Then again, I enjoy getting lost in the garden so maybe it’s not so funny.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I host a Photo Friday link-up; would love to have you join us each week!
