The Last Day at Preschool

Its hard to believe that today is Emily’s last day at preschool, well its not even a day just an afternoon.

She first went to preschool when she was just two and half for one afternoon a week, back in January 2014, she needed to be around other children and I think I also needed a couple of hours of sanity too. As I thought she loved it, I didn’t have any tears or any problems leaving her, it felt a bit weird for me but I soon got to love my three hours to myself once a week.

In September 2014 E got her 15 hours free funding so she went to preschool for two whole days a week and one afternoon, everyone said to me I would be lost without her and I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. They were right that I was a bit lost with out her but I certainly found plenty of things to do. E loves preschool and would happily have gone every day of the week. She has so much fun and has made a lot of friends over the year, many of which are going up to the big school with her too.

I look back at the first photo I took of E at preschool, this was taken after I picked her up from her first afternoon, she looks so tiny and she was so adamant on carrying her own back, book bag and lunch box. It was all very cute.

Preschool has taught E so many things and she has come on leaps and bounds in many ways, the time really has gone so fast and I cant believe my little big girl is starting big school in September.

Here she is on her last day of preschool, super confident, super happy.

I know E is going to miss going to preschool but I also know she will love big school, its the end of an era, one chapter closes and another one opens ready for the adventures of big school in September.

Its just the case of the seven weeks school holidays to get through and survive first!
