Christmas Crafts With Baker Ross

E loves art and crafts, when I ask her what she wants to do on an afternoon she will always say painting or sticking, so we both absolutely love it when a parcel from Baker Ross arrives.

Baker Ross sent us a wonderful parcel full of Christmas crafts, I am already feeling a little festive, even though its only November, so I was really looking forward to making some of these items with E.

Christmas CraftsE has a friend who she plays with frequently and loves spending time with, so we decided that it would be great for E and her friend to make the Christmas crafts together.

First of all we let the girls make the Christmas Foam Cards (£2.97pk 3), the kits contain everything you need to make the three cards, the pack contains a Reindeer, a Father Christmas and a Snowman card.  They were nice and easy to make, all the foam items are stickers so no glue is required. The are very colourful and the girls only needed a little assistance with the letters.

They both seemed pretty pleased with the finished item.

This craft was a little more advanced so the girls needed some help.

E was keen to get started and once I had demonstrated how to peg the sequins into the ball, she quite happily, with my assistance started to peg some in. This is a great craft for fine motor skills, it takes quite a long time to make the characters and after a while the two mummies ended up finishing them off. I have to say they do look really nice once they are completed.

Toddler Christmas craftsThe girls were keen to make something else so we decided to use some of the other items we were sent. Included in the parcel was a pack of Christmas pudding stickers and a pack of stars. So after a creative idea, some Christmas tree shapes were cut out and stuck onto some card for them to decorate with the stars and Christmas puddings, Both girls loved using the felt stickers and getting creative.

Another item included in the parcel was the Christmas Hand Puppet Sewing Kits (£2.75 pk.3). The puppets shapes are made of felt, there is some red yarn supplied in the kit with a large plastic needle for sewing the yarn around, also in the kit are some self adhesive felt shapes and googly eyes. The kit is for age 5+ so the girls are too young to make these so I had a go myself, I did the sewing and E then stuck the self adhesive shapes and eyes on. The puppets are great quality, however I think our reindeer puppet looks more like a bear with antlers!
