It’s another week of Living Arrows. Every Monday I will be sharing a photo that celebrates childhood.
The project originally took its name from a poem –
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
– Kahlil Gibran
This week’s living arrows is a very snowy one. This last weekend we have had plenty of snow which we have loved. Snow in Exmouth is a rarity however this year we have had it twice. We have made the most of the snow and had some great fun.
On Sunday just after lunch we walked up the road to where some of E’s friends lived to have some snow fun. All of the kids had a great time playing together. The adults joined in with the fun too.
The last time we had snow E kept saying how she wished we had a sledge. Fortunately her good friend has one. She loved getting to play on the sledge and J had fun running around. He wasn’t so keen on the sledge.
After having plenty of fun we headed home to warm up.
After hot chocolate’s and snacks the kids were keen to go out to play in the garden. I was equally as excited. I am a big kid at heart when it snow’s.
We made two snowmen and a snowdog. J enjoyed using a little spade to make holes in the snow and take the snow of the slide.
As you can see we all enjoyed the playing in the snow. I can’t quite get over the fact that it has snowed all day long and is still snowing now. We are hoping that the school will be closed on Monday so that we can make the most of the snow before it starts melting in the afternoon.
