My youngest has always loved vehicles of any description. When we stumble upon diggers while we are out and about we always have to stop and watch them.
We have been having a wonderful time testing out the Tonka Mighty Dump Truck and Garbage Truck.
I remember Tonka from when i was little, my brother had some Tonka vehicles and he loved them.
Tonka have been making toys since in 1955. almost 70 years. Tonka trucks have been the undisputed kings of the sandbox for decades. Built on the notion that “a toy shouldn’t break just because a child plays with it,” they’re strong, sturdy, and long-lasting. Back in the ’70s, Tonka even had an elephant stand on one, just to prove their point.
The mighty metals fleet is a new size of vehicles for Tonka. The two in the range are the Tonka Dump Truck and Garbage Truck. Both of the Tonka vehicles are really sturdy toys and they will definitely survive constant play with my four year old.

Both of my children were very excited when the vehicles arrived, even my 9 year old daughter thinks they are great.
What i really love is that the Tonka Mighty Metals Fleet can be used indoors and out. My youngest loves playing outside so it was great that he could use his new toys in the garden. More often than not i am worried about what toys he takes outside as they normally get trashed or even go missing, how i will never know.
He thought playing with them outside was so much fun. He put stones in them and moved them to different areas in the garden, parked them up and even took them out on the street to show his friends. J is so proud of his new Tonka Mighty Metal Fleet vehicles. He uses his imagination and engages in role play using both trucks and different areas of the garden.
The age range for the Mighty Metals Fleet is age 3-6. However i can see them being used well past that age. vehicles are my sons most loved toys and these are now his favourite.
I love the quality of the Tonka Trucks, they are great size for a four year old. They are quite heavy but not to heavy to be carried around. Despite the rough play in the garden their isn’t a scratch on them,. Needless to say i am extremely impressed with that.
Tonka toys are made with steel and metal and the attention to detail is fantastic. The dump truck has a moving tipper which has been used for carrying all sorts of things around and then putting them in other areas.
The garbage truck is a lovely blue colour and has been used to carry various things round. It has recently been on holiday with us recently. However, he wasn’t impressed that his sister used it to carry barbie stuff around on!
The Tonka trucks are a reasonable price and will make great gifts for children. They really do give hours of entertainment.
