At the start of the year i wrote a bucket list. My plan is to write about each item on the list when it is ticked off. Time has however run away with me and i haven’t managed to do this. Now i have a little bit of time i am going to write about a few of them.
At the end of May, my not so little girl turned eight. How on earth did that happen. Time really has gone quick. At the time it didn’t seem to go that quick. Especially when there was dirty nappies, sleepless nights and me second guessing why she was crying. Fast forward eight years and i have a beautiful little lady. She is smart, funny and sometimes full of attitude.

E is fun to be around, however she is getting a little stroppier as pre-teens set in (age 8?!?), She is still such fantastic company.
E’s actual birthday was a family day which she loved. it gave her chance to play with her new toys and be able to chill out in the morning. Not rushing anywhere. We didn’t buy her a big present or many toys at all. Purely because she already has so many things that she doesn’t really use.

One thing E is really lucky about it when her birthday is. Not only is it half way through the year but it always lands on the school half term. She will never go to school on her birthday. I love that her birthday is during the warmer weather as it makes it easier to buy her toys to play with outside.
This year we bought her roller boots, which she is slowly getting used to and her auntie bought her a pogo stick which is so much fun.

I remember when i was given my first pair of roller boots, i absolutely loved them just as E does.
That evening we all went out for something to eat, a little tradition we have. When ever it is someones birthday we go out.
The Party

I say party, E didn’t really have a party this year. Instead she took a few friends bowling which they all seemed to enjoy. Even the little brother had fun.. After which we arranged some food for them. The bowling wasn’t on E’s actual birthday but a few days before. Purely because she wanted to play at home.
E had a wonderful 8th Birthday, she loved every minuet of it. I however cant believe i now have an eight year old.
