Children’s Christmas Gift Guide 2016

It has come round to that time of year again when everyone’s thoughts start to head towards Christmas, one of the most time consuming parts of Christmas is the gift shopping, especially if you have no idea what to get someone. The Children’s gift guide is the first in my series of gift guides, hopefully they will give you plenty of ideas of what you to buy people.

Number 1 – Chococo Nutcracker and Sugar Plum Fairy Tubes These beautifully designed tubes come filled with solid chocolate shapes such as snowmen, santas and Christmas tree’s. They taste absolutely amazing. The Nutcracker Milk chocolate ones are made with 43 % Venezuelan Milk Chocolate and the Sugar Plum white chocolates are made with aromatic Dominican Republic white Chocolate. They also sell dark chocolate tubes too. This fine chocolate really is very tasty and has been a big hit in this house. These festive tubes would make a great stocking filler for all ages of children and adults alike. Number 2 – The Very Hungry Caterpillar Mug and Snack Plate

What is there not to love about this beautiful Mug and Snack Plate. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a timeless book by Eric Carle that we and many others love and now you can also buy Hungry Caterpillar merchandise. This bright and wonderful set can be used for any meal of the day and you can guarantee the children will love using this set. I know I cant wait to have a nice mug of hot chocolate and some biscuits using ours, that’s if the eldest will let me. This set would be a great present for a little baby as it will be a timeless gift for when they grow up and older children will just love to receive this for Christmas. Number 3 – Inkoos Color n’ Create Peppa Pig

The Inkoos Colour n’ Create Peppa Pig comes with one Peppa plush, three inkoos pens and a ring to put them on. With the amazing markers you can draw all over Peppa Pig, children can get creative and draw any thing they want. Peppa is two sided, on the one side you can draw all over Peppa and on the other side is a picture you can colour in. What is great about this once Peppa is coloured in, ours currently has green spots all over her, you can pop her in the washing machine and Peppa will come out squeaky clean, ready for the next time your child wishes to colour her in. Number 4 – Treasure Trails

Treasure Trails are a great way to get outdoors with the children and have fun exploring. The trail for Exmouth is a Murder Mystery trail and takes around two hours to complete and it really does take you exploring and is a lot of fun. Clues can be answered by going to different places that have facts and information with then leads to crossing off different characters and weapons, it’s almost an outdoor version of cluedo, but more fun. Not al the trails are murder mystery, there are also treasure  hunt, spy missions and many others.

This wonderful developmental toy has plenty to occupy a baby, the toy is a cuddly green and blue body with teethers, rings, labels and squeakers. The face is nice and smooth and its purple antennae crinkle as do his feet. The one we have is a big hit, especially because there are things to chew on, it keeps a teething baby very happy. You can clip it onto a pushchair, the side of a cot or even a bouncy chair. Number 6 – Heat Holders socks

The Frozen Olaf slipper socks are perfect for keeping any frozen feet warm. The socks are incredibly warm and cosy and have a snowflake slip resistant grip. The socks have a 2.5 tog rating which means they are great for the colder weather, ours have been worn in the house and with wellies in the garden! The wonderful pink colour and Olaf character pictures are going to please any girl. Heat Holders also sell other character socks that would be a great present for children of all ages. 7 – My Fairy Garden

My Fairy Garden contains everything you need to make a magical fairy garden. Included in the set is a fairy bowl, some grass seeds, a fairy cottage that you can make, some coloured gravel to make a fairy path, fairy flowers that you can place in the garden, a toadstool, washing line and an oyster shell for a water feature and a very cute fairy. There is a lot of fun to be had making the garden, all you need is some soil to put in the bowl then you can plant the grass seeds and add all the other items and once the grass how grown you have your own indoors magical fairy garden. 8 – Read With Me Scout

Read With Me Scout is a fun educational toy that is aimed at ages two-five. Scout comes with five books which are aimed to entertain and encourage your child to read. Scouts collar has five number buttons which relate to the number on the books, the child presses the number of the book they want to read and Scout will read with you. Scout has interactive points, his two paws, his back and his head, pressing these areas makes scout sing or say phrases. When you are reading a book you touch scouts head to turn the page. Read With Me Scout also has a sleepy time mode when you can cuddle up with Scout and listen to his stories and lullabies. We absolutely love Scout in this house, my eldest loves to read with Scout and my one year old loves the lullabies. This really is a fantastic gift for age 2-5 years olds.
