Some days I don’t get a break. Some days, I get 15 minutes to myself alone. But really, I’m never alone, those 15 minutes I can hear tiny footsteps stomping through the kitchen. E laughing or crying,
Some days, are too much. Some days I long for the past, with no responsibilities,. I try not to raise my voice, lose my temper, some days I’m not successful, some days I am. Some days, though I’m not proud to say it, I don’t like my child.
Then there are days like this, a late bedtime, a tiring day. I finally get to sit down, and I pull up my laptop and just look through some photos and remember why it’s worth it, and how selfish I can be some days. I may not get to shower most days, or even pee alone, but E is quickly changing, I’m starting to realize this more and more everyday.
E has her own personality with a great sense of humour, she talks none stop and tells me she is happy and when I ask why she tells me it’s because I am her mummy. She gives great cuddles and is very loving and tries to look after me when I am poorly. We really very lucky to have a happy healthy and entertaining little girl.
This is what makes life worth while. I just need a reminder every once in a while.
